The Priest's Day

Today was Alpha training day for the priests of this diocese. There were 15 priests in attendance. Lili and Rafael, our training counterparts from Columbia, lead the day. We arrived mid morning to help with set up. Carole and Dennis had the opportunity to share about their experiences with the Alpha course in Regina.

Afterwards, we went on a walking tour and had lunch at an outdoor cafe which happened to be right across the street from the famous Recoleta Cemetery. Eva Peron, and several former presidents and generals from Argentina are entombed here. You may be singing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" at this moment and you'd be right to. Google "Evita".

We then wandered back to the hotel and called it a night.

  1. Just checked the blog before I headed to bed and sure enough my dear friends sent me a note! Thanks, I'm sure I will sleep more soundly. We have faithful people lifting you up in prayer the next two days, I know God will be with you as you present your talks and communitcate with the guests. Love you all and I will do my best to keep you in prayer between retreating.

  2. Looks like you are having an interesting time - and an opportunity to speak to the priests - how wonderful. I am sure that your light will shine through to them to highlight how important this Alpha training will be for them and their congregations! I hope that today goes well for you all - in our thoughts and prayers! BTW - looks like there is no need for evening time heaters this trip anyhow - is that correct?? Our love and blessings to you all!
